Becoming a CC Member

Time and time again it is asked how to become a full CC member. To answer this question once and for all, here is a guide and explanation of the process for becoming a full CC member.

To become a CC member, first fill out and submit an application. You may put on an <A>< tag at this time although it is not required. The application will be received by one of the Recruiters. Due to the high volume of applications, it usually takes around two weeks to get a response from one of the Recruiters. Be patient. If you are accepted, you will receive an email with confirmation instructions. The council does not vote on the acceptance of Probationary members; it is up to the recruiters.

Once you receive your acceptance email, you are now officially a Probationary member, and you can wear your <P>< tag. This means you will be observed by CC members and the council. You must wear your <P>< tag at all times on CC servers or its affiliates servers. As a Probationary member, you are allowed to participate in all CC activities unless otherwise stated. However, you are not allowed to apply for admin. Applying for admin as a Probationary member will extend your wait time for admin.

Now, to become a full CC member you must be voted on in a council meeting. To be considered for full CC membership, you must have played with 5 council members. The council will not vote you in unless they are familiar with you and are sure you will be a responsible member. It can take a week to several months to be accepted; time is not determinant in membership. The fastest way of getting familiar with council members is to be in TeamSpeak regularly and to post in the forums. Once you are voted in by the council, your name will be posted in the forums (under New Members) and in TeamSpeak (under the Council Meeting channel). You will not receive an email when accepted as a full CC member. Again, be patient.

You may here people say that it is easy to get in and that they were accepted in a week. This is true for a handful of people but is not the norm! Likewise, some people have had to wait several months before they were accepted. The average time (if there is one) is around a month. Again, as stated above, time does not guarantee admittance.
